All too often OEM components sacrifice performance in an effort to appeal to a wide variety of customers. In the case of the factory turbo inlet pipe, mounted between the compressor housing and air intake hose, its purpose is to channel air from the inlet hose into the turbocharger inlet, all while reducing engine bay acoustics. With the ECS 8Y RS3 Big Bore Turbo Inlet Pipe, the factory inlet pipe is removed and replaced with our straight-through, cast aluminium inlet.
PART DESIGN
Inlet Elbow is made from cast aluminium for maximum airflow capacity, durability and is designed to work in combination with ECS intakes.
Compressor Inlet Flange is machined after casting to create a bellmouth inlet design for smooth air entry into the compressor housing. The CNC inlet flange also features OEM mounting holes, it also utilizes a sealing O-ring for perfect fit and seal for precision fitment within the compressor housing.
Retains OEM PCV port for a direct bolt on fit
Cast mounting tabs retain compatibility with the OEM locating fastener and its mounting location.

Our ECS Big Bore Turbo Inlet Pipe was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility. We strive for the highest level of precision and quality through leading edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modelling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer, and rigorous long term product testing.
